pickles (claussens brand), 150 grams
shallots, 70 grams
garlic, 20 grams
vegetable oil (or clarified butter for cooking), 20 grams
philadelphia cream cheese, 100 grams
sour cream, 150 grams
-
lillie’s q citrus blend, 15 grams
fresh dill, 7 grams
begin by finely dicing the shallots and mincing the garlic.
heat oil or clarified butter in a sauté pan over medium heat. add the diced shallots and minced garlic, cooking gently until they are soft and translucent. once done, remove from heat and allow them to cool to room temperature.
while the shallot and garlic mixture is cooling, finely chop the dill to have it ready for mixing.
use a grater to grate the pickles coarsely, ensuring to catch all the juice and bits for flavor.
in a mixing bowl, gently fold together the cooled shallot and garlic mixture, chopped dill, grated pickles, cream cheese and Lillie’s Q Citrus Blend until well combined.
cover the mixture and refrigerate. this will allow the flavors to meld together, enhancing the overall taste. it’s best served chilled, making it a perfect make-ahead dish for convenience.
