Why No. 5? Creole is a refined style of cooking originating in Louisiana blending influences from five cultures, African, French, Spanish, Amerindian and Southern. The essence of Creole is found in rich sauces, fresh local herbs, red tomatoes, and seafood including shrimp and crawfish. Favorite Creole cuisines include gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice and barbecue shrimp. Fun fact - barbecue shrimp, actually has no barbecue sauce or grill involved.
